Examples of our clients

East GB Ltd works for a range of small, medium and large blue chip clients including Fortnum and Mason, Thorntons, Creative Events, Piccolino, Beetroot and Orange and more.

TribalLearn, eLearning development partners

As a company we were determined to take e-learning to the next level. We initially talked to 6 other providers before we discovered Tribal Learn. Other providers offered the traditional 2-d cartoon images and quite a flat learning environment.  We very much wanted an e-learning course that replicated as close as possible, a face to face learning environment.

The mixture of spoken, written and video clips was a superb idea and we very quickly realised the benefits of working with Tribal Learn.

No other company could have given us the support and expertise to develop this course to the high standards, we both wanted and have achieved.  We are actually quite excited at the output and are looking forward to helping a large range of businesses comply with the law and run more profitable businesses.

Background info by Marcus Kilvington 22/06/08

We've been involved in launch of major new food products with production and supply chains that have spanned the globe.  For example the production and launch of food and drink products that supply J. Sainsbury and Tesco in the UK. The inspection and negotiation process would start with the supplier of raw ingredients. Sugar could come from Mauritius or South America, tea and spices from India, veg & fruit from Europe and USA.

We would obtain supply contracts and negotiate price. Inspect their manufacturing plants along with a technical team to ensure that they complied with all UK regulations to pass BRC Accreditation. (British Retail Consortium).

As you can imagine, the Retailers are extremely strict on supply and we made sure that any issues were resolved prior to their own audits.

Our companies trading relationship with these customers relied on supplying “safe food” and maintaining our reputation as a credible supplier.  Within the UK, a new product would include discussion and observation of the cooking/manufacturing process to again ensure that the product would pass the Retailers Audits. We were always involved in the management team of new factory or line builds.

Our knowledge had to be good enough to enable us to accompany the customer’s technical teams on factory and supplier audits. You needed to possess the relevant knowledge to be able to present and answer questions they would invariably ask.  We can supply contact names within the technical teams at Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda, Waitrose, Co-op, Somerfield, Morrisons if you need any external verification.

Within Foodservice we also worked very closely with our customer’s development teams to ensure that the product they wanted could be replicated and geared up to factory production methods.
Other experience has included cooking methods such as heat treatment methods, sterilisation, UHT, pasteurisation, mechanically recovered meat etc.

Courses on CIP methods. Baby food manufacture. This production has to be the most advanced, safe and controlled production methods I have ever witnessed.  We also have experience of meeting suppliers that would never meet the standards and that allows us the balance to be able to explain the issues and difficulties that can be experienced in a commercial world.
